The words “Trauma” and “Trauma-Informed Yoga” have become popular in Modern Western Yoga Culture but what do they actually mean? And how can we deliver clinically sensitive yoga or movement classes informed by the latest understandings on trauma, neuroscience, and mindfulness?
Our Mindful Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training is a 20-hour training that provides yoga teachers, therapists and other wellness providers as well as wellness facilitators with a solid understanding of what trauma is, how it affects us, and how to approach trauma within a yoga or movement setting. Learn about the Vagus nerve & how to reset it using yoga & mindfulness practices. The training is also a deeper dive into how trauma impacts us at the individual, institutional, and systemic levels AND how trauma-informed movement teaching can help pave the way for more resilience and equity in our communities.
